1 Regular Inspection
Regular visual inspections of the brake's external components, such as the enclosure, hydraulic lines, and brake shoes, are recommended to check for any signs of damage, leakage, or wear. This helps to identify potential problems early and prevent more serious failures.
2 Hydraulic System Maintenance
The hydraulic fluid should be checked regularly for contamination and proper level. If necessary, the fluid should be replaced according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The hydraulic filters should also be cleaned or replaced periodically to ensure the cleanliness of the hydraulic system.
3 Brake Shoe Replacement
The brake shoes should be inspected for wear at regular intervals. When the thickness of the friction material reaches the minimum specified value, the shoes should be replaced immediately to maintain the braking performance of the brake.
